WHAT OKINAWA SINDO RYU KARATE AND KOBUDO IS?
First of all, it is part of the culture of the inhabitants of the island of Okinawa. Sindo Ryu is one of the few modern karate schools in which the most important aspect is considered to be not technique but rather philosophy. Competition is not the main goal, but kata competitions are held to promote Okinawan Karate. Okinawa karate also involves kobudo training - the use of traditional household items as weapons. Kobudo helps to better understand karate.

Who are gasshuku and seminar for?
Adults and children accompanied by adults can join gasshuku and seminar. Anyone who is already practicing or would like to start practicing real-working martial arts.

We support the family's activity. This means that you can join the camp with the whole family, no matter whether the whole family will attend training, only children or only adults.

Camp by the Ocean is a great opportunity to get the effect of six months of training in one week, to combine sports with a beach vacation, to set an example for children, or to start training with them independently.
WHO IS SENSEI VALERIY MAISTROVOY?
Sensei Valeriy Maistrovoy is a legend in the world of karate, a student of Takayoshi Nagamine, Meitoki Yagi (10th Dan), (10th Dan), Eihachi Ota (10th Dan), Hanashiro Naito (6th Dan) is the only Russian to have been offered a seat on the Board of Directors of the Japanese Federation.

He is also President of the International Federation of Okinawa Karate in Russia, a member of the Council of Directors of the Worldwide Okinawa Te Federation, and Head Instructor for the European region.
WHY GO TO THE GASSUKU?
Gasshuku is more than just training. It is an opportunity for additional communication with Sensei for a deeper understanding of Okinawan Karate and Okinawan culture.

City life and everyday worries make it impossible to properly concentrate on training. In the conditions of a frantic urban rhythm, workouts are often skipped or happen on the run. It is not possible to fully immerse yourself in the training process and overcome the skill plateau.

In the camp, surrounded by a pleasant calm atmosphere, beautiful nature and mild climate, you can disconnect from all everyday worries and concentrate on the training.
